The remodeling works of Anoeta Stadium, in San Sebastián (Spain) keep progressing.
In the last weeks, the assembly works of the 3D structure at the South area have been carried out. This spatial structure is to support both the façade and the tier roof. It is formed by hollow steel profiles, which are connected by spherical hinges.
Furthermore, the façade and roof coverings are being set. The roof covering is formed by plate elements, whereas the façade elements are made of ETFE. This material allows the covering to have a distinctive feature, by means of color, maintaining a certain level of luminosity and permeability from the interior of the Stadium to its surroundings.
During the next months, the assembly and covering works are expected to be continued at the rest of the areas of the Stadium.
FHECOR Ingenieros Consultores was entrusted to carry out the design of the new Stadium roof and façade, working together with LKS. At the moment, FHECOR is part of the Project Management Team for the Owner as technical support during the construction works.
