FHECOR and the Fundación Pryconsa collaborated with the NGO Bridges to Prosperity in funding the construction of a 70-metre suspension footbridge over the Cyangoga River, in the Gakenke district of Rwanda.

The infrastructure connects two rural communities and benefits 5,142 people, including 1,903 children, by providing safe access to schools, health centres, markets and public services. Before its construction, residents had to take significant risks to cross the river and reach these essential services.

The work was carried out over two weeks by the Bridges to Prosperity team together with members of the local community. The footbridge was inaugurated in March 2025 and directly benefits 1,118 households.
